Design but ecological, the eco-chic or even luxurious decor promises to be a new strong trend, between everything that is eco-friendly and not necessarily aesthetic and non-ecological design… After investing in fashion, the eco-chic trend arrives in our homes and becomes a true art of living. Anxious to meet consumer expectations in terms of ecology, designers are creating more and more objects and furniture from organic or ecological materials and materials. This trend, announced among others by the Carlin International style firm for 2010, is expressed through furniture, textiles and small decor for the whole house . The materials and materials that make up this eco-chic decor are either natural or recycled and in an ethical approach . We thus find bamboo, wood from sustainably managed forests, recycled wood scraps, recycled plastic and PVC (Pevetchouc at Brindi), vegetable resin ... In terms of textiles, organic cotton, linen, virgin wool, hemp or bamboo viscose are frequently used. The pigments involved in the dyes are natural. The manufacturing processes are generally ecological, minimizing the impact on the environment through non-chemicals. The realization of this furniture and objects sometimes involves noble or contemporary materials such as plexiglass, leather, silk (...) which, associated with ecological materials, provide the elegant character of eco-chic . This is the case of the Bleu Nature brand. Created in 1995 by designer Frank Lefebvre, the brand offers furniture, lighting and objects made based on driftwood (wood recovered on the beaches). Associated with contemporary materials such as plexiglass (for its 2010 collection), the object becomes a real design element in a home. Among the designers who offer eco-chic, we think of 5.5 Designers, New Zealanders David Trubridge (distributed by Moaroom and Sentou), Céline Wright (paper lights), Filipino Kenneth Cobonpue ... But signs, from the largest to the smallest, also offer eco-chic. This is the case of Roche Bobois since 2006 thanks to its first eco-designed range by Christophe Delcourt, or Ekobo which offers hand-painted bamboo tableware, very chic! And on the internet, the neomansland.fr site offers all kinds of objects and furniture for the home, to bring an eco-chic spirit into the home without leaving your home! More info on eco-chic :
