To cover windows while protecting our privacy, there are a multitude of solutions including blinds, an ideal way to protect yourself from the sun. But do you know that there are several types of blinds? Explanations. Blinds are a very practical alternative to curtains. They take up less space and can be installed on windows that could not accommodate curtains: windows too high, in a corner ... In the living room, the blinds mainly reduce the sun's rays, while in the bedroom, you have to take into account privacy and opt for total concealment. The type of blinds you choose will depend mainly on the room in which they are located.
Venetian blinds have horizontal metal or wooden slats that are oriented at different times of the day to protect from the sunlight. You can adjust the brightness as much as you want. This type of blind attaches to the window frame, which allows it to take up little space.

The Roman blind, also called American blind, combines aesthetics and functionality by connecting on the top of the window. It is a fabric blind that allows you to hide the aggressive rays of the sun while enjoying a soft and warm light depending on the colors chosen. The definite advantage of this type of blind is that it is machine washable!
The roller blind is also made of fabric but it can also be more rigid. As the name suggests, it is wrapped around an axis using a pull cord. Unlike venetian blinds, it does not allow partial blackout of light. You can however choose to pull the blind over the entire window or only halfway to let in a little light. Note that this type of blind can be made to measure with the fabric of your choice in order to choose the blackout power of it. Photos to inspire or to dream… Discover "Decorative photos"
